Oklahoma Pediatric Therapy Center (OPTC) has limited opportunities for students currently enrolled in an APA Accredited PhD or PsyD program in School, Clinical, or Counseling Psychology. Practicum students must have completed introductory courses in Psychological Assessment and meet the minimum requirements to become a psychological technician as outlined by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners in Psychology.

Practicum placements are a 12 month placement and begin in July of each year. Applicants are expected to be on site for training activities for 15-20 hours per week and there are some paid opportunities (approximately 8-10 hours per week) during the training process but not all practicum hours are paid experiences.
Oklahoma Pediatric Therapy Center (OPTC) is a member of the Oklahoma Private Practice Internship Consortium (OPPIC). OPPIC is an APPIC member program and participates in the National Matching Service for the placement of Doctoral Interns.

Oklahoma Pediatric Therapy Center (OPTC) does provide supervised experience in accordance with the Oklahoma Board of Examiners of Psychologists. As part of the Post Doctoral Training Program, applicants will receive:
- 2 hours of didactic activities per week
- 2 hours of group supervision per week
- 1.5 hours of individual supervision per week
- A balanced caseload of Comprehensive Psychological Assessments and Behavioral Therapy cases
- Options for training may include PCIT, ADOS, and BCBA supervision (subject to applicant interests and precertification requirements)
- Guidance and support towards the EPPP exam and licensure
Post Doctoral Fellowships begin the first Monday in July following the 4th of July and are a 12 month appointment. Extensions are available on a case by case basis.
Qualified applicants will have successfully completed their PhD or PsyD in School, Clinical, or Counseling Psychology and meet the pre-licensure requirements outlined from the Oklahoma Board of Examiners of Psychologists https://www.ok.gov/psychology/.
